Tippy

I am getting a new dog in 2 weeks. She is called Tippy, she is a border collie and is very loveable. I have not met her yet, but I made a shape poem about her, based on a photo of her.

Our Passion Project Reflection

Our Passion Project was to do baking lessons with 4 Te Kakano kids.
We chose:
Mackenzie
Kawiti
Gracie
and Alex.

For our first day, we made oreo smoothies. For our 2nd day, we made chocolate chip cookies. Finally, for our 3rd day, we made a chocolate brownie. Well, they were supposed to be cupcakes, but we accidentally forgot to bring cupcake cases, so we made it into a brownie.
"The smoothies were my favourite" Mackenzie commented when being interviewed. After everyone was interviewed, we decided that the brownie was the most popular. It was really fun, and I hope that the kids enjoyed it as much as we did!

Cliffhanger Story

“Don’t bother to hide, I will always catch you.” The hoarse voice whispered in my ear. I wondered…  what was behind the door? A strange maroon light was glowing in the doorframe, giving the room a ghostly feel that shivered through my bones. Then it came again. “I see you. I am going to get you” The wooden door creaked open, as I took one quivering step at a time towards it.  My heart banged painfully in my chest, and my eyes widened until they nearly burst. The door gap expanded, and beneath the murky darkness, I saw a face. “I have found you…”

I felt a sharp pain in my chest as the person dragged me deeper into the darkness of the room. I screamed, my voice echoing into the darkness. The now familiar maroon light was glowing dimly in the distance. I was getting closer and closer to it, and the door was getting further and further away. I kept stumbling over mysterious shapes on the floor. ‘Probably mud’ I thought to myself, and I gasped as the light ahead revealed the identity of them… dead bodies.

The Wacky day story starter

Just saying, I have no idea how you ate the cat cake, even though I'm a sardine.”
“I'm a butterfly and I like to eat DJs.”
“Did fiddles eat their parts again?”
Those are the things you would normally hear coming from the Riddesome Littlesome Daycare in Wonderland, but not today…
“Yes, darling. I appointed several of our best watchmen to the job”
“Golly, the time has passed so dreadfully! I must hurry”

“Would any of you respectable gentlemen care for a spot of tea?”

What do you think of my 'riddlesome' story?

Working on my Prime Numbers

I have been working on my prime numbers, and have worked out and am able to prove:
Why 6 is a prime number but 7 is not. Prime numbers are numbers that can be divided into a whole number by a number other than one, or itself. The numbers that are not prime numbers are called composite numbers.
6 divided by 2 = 3
6 divided by 3 = 2
6 divided by 4 = 1.5
and finally,
6 divided by 5 = 1.2
As you can see, 6 can be divided into a whole number by 2, or 3. That means that 6 is a prime number.
Now, lets move on to 7.
7 divided by 2 = 3.5
7 divided by 3 = 2.33
7 divided by 4 = 1.75
7 divided by 5 = 1.4
7 divided by 6 = 1.16
As you can see, 7 cannot be divided cleanly into a whole number, and is a composite number.
I hope you enjoyed my explanation of prime and composite numbers. Please leave a comment with any questions or feedback 😍😎🤓😇🤩

My Story Starter

Does this hook you in?

Late one night in a scientists lab, Dr. Smolders snatched the edge of his coat and ripped it off. He knew he should have listened to his driver and left his coat at home- it was as hot as dragons fire in here. Placing his lumpy, hand knitted coat on a slightly charred chair, victim to millions of experiments gone wrong, he turned back to his work- a glowing green chemical ooze labeled h7793. Then it happened...

This is the start of my story, "A Stroke of Brilliance".
Please comment what you think of it, and any improvements that can be made.
